Chris Townsend / Owner / President
After attending Stanton College Preparatory School and earning his associate’s degree from the University of North Florida, he went on to secure both Florida state roofing and building contractor licenses, laying a strong foundation for what would become a standout career in the industry.
In 2005, Chris became the very first employee at Townsend Roofing, stepping in at the ground level shaped the company’s residential division from day one. Over the years, his commitment and vision propelled him forward, culminating in his role as owner and president in 2022. Today, he continues to lead with the same hands-on approach and dedication that defined his early days.
When he’s not on the job, Chris is most relaxed on the water —fishing, boating, and making memories with family and friends.
Above all, he takes pride in being a devoted father to his daughter Sophia and his two sons, Cooper and Tucker, who keep life just as rewarding off the clock as it is on it.
Martin Arellano - Residential Division Superintendent
Martin has been a cornerstone of Townsend Roofing since 2006, bringing nearly two decades of dedication, consistency, and pride to the team. As a key leader in the residential division, he’s the one making sure jobs stay on track and run smoothly from start to finish.
What truly sets Martin apart is his commitment to homeowners. He keeps constant communication throughout each project, making sure questions are answered, concerns are handled, and every home is treated with the care it deserves. It’s no surprise that clients regularly go out of their way to recognize his hard work, reliability, and attention to detail.
Outside of work, Martin enjoys spending time under the hood of his sports car and making memories with his grandkids. Whether he’s at a job site or at home, he brings the same steady energy and passion to everything he does.
Darnelle Townsend - VP/Office Manager/Chief Juggler of All the Things
Darnelle, originally from Louisiana—Geaux Tigers!— moved to Florida in 2005 and graduated from Florida State College at Jacksonville in 2010 as a dental hygienist. In 2022, Darnelle “retired” from dentistry and stepped into a new role supporting the family business as Vice President.
Since then, she has become the backbone of daily office operations, keeping everything running smoothly behind the scenes. When she’s off the clock, life doesn’t slow down much.
You’ll find her juggling busy kid schedules, keeping up with their two pups, Fisher and Jetty, and living life outdoors whenever possible. She’s a proud softball mom, her loudest cheer coming from the sidelines, and a dedicated sports fan for her boys—wherever the game takes them.
Add in a little fishing, sunshine, and a “go with the flow” attitude, and you’ve got Darnelle in her element—making the most of every moment and whatever life throws her way.
